Lazy Sunday

Eh, today was just like the title. I didn't even want to take pictures but Jess insisted. They turned out ok, though. Trying out a new length skirt for me and I am in love with it! It is great, but I do think it would probably look better on someone a bit taller! Ah well. Paired with one of my oldest sweaters. It has a deep V in the front and back, which is great for showing off my tattoos :) Also, paired with some cute oxford flats. They really brighten up a dull outfit!

short week

I love Thanksgiving! And short work weeks! Wearing one of my all time favorite pieces of clothing from Lane Bryant. This skirt has an elastic waistband, pockets, bright color, midi-length, perfecto. I'm also wearing a crochet top I got from Urban Outfitters. I am not a fan of digging through non-plus clothes for something that might fit me (life's too short), but I came across this oversized crop top while shopping with Christy. It is one of my new faves.

And yeah, I've got my squint on in the first pic. Score.

go hard

Another vest! My friend Claire and I went to see a show at The Bishop right after Halloween and decided that we needed to have matching outfits (like the band). We thought that a denim jacket or vest with something on the back would be perfect. Low and behold, I went to Goodwill a few days after and found this vest. Half-off, no less! While I probably won't put any sort of gang logo on it, it did have a butterfly patch and a hole on the back, so it is pretty much perfect. I paired it with my Forever 21 polka-dot blouse to make it a little more feminine. Also, showing off my fancy nail stickers from Christy. I think I like them! They're pretty annoying when they start to chip, but I like having no dry time and the crazy patterns are great.

In other news, I am working on planning my work holiday party. I work at a record label, so the parties are pretty legit. So much to think about, but mainly, my outfit. I have been searching for the perfect sequin-something. Found a gold sequin skirt on ebay, but we'll see how it fits. I never have any luck with ebay for some reason. Ah well, fingers crossed.

Fall Patterns

I love Fall and all the colors and patterns it brings! Pattern mixing used to be my staple. I was basically a master. For some reason, I started easing off on the multiple patterns at once. Not sure what happened. I guess it does take some effort to find things that look good together, but not crazy. I really liked these pieces together, because they were all in a Fall theme and distinct, but not too bold. I threw my favorite sweater over this for a relaxed Saturday afternoon at the market.

Happy Halloween!

Hi all, hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! Here's a few shots from our Halloween celebrations. Even baby Merlin got in the spirit! The first picture is me with my two best friends, and soon to be roommates, Liza and Kate. Kate was Little Red Riding Hood, I was Uncle Sam, and Liza was a cat (duh). Since I work at a costume shop, I pretty much have to have a top notch outfit. The second picture is Jess with her friend Maggie. Jess was a rocker kitty....too easy, but still cute. Lastly, we have Merlin in his new Halloween tunic. He acts like he hates it, but deep down I think he loves it! Other than working all weekend, it was a pretty good Halloween. I hope everyone enjoyed it too!
