Brown County

A little outing in Brown County (Nashville, IN) with my roommate Kate. Hanging out among the pumpkins and crafty things. Wearing a fun, transition-weather outfit. This is a pretty standard look for me; skirt, tucked-in top, and boots. But, I love the texture on this sweater and the brightness of the skirt. It's always nice to have a pop of color when standing amongst nature. Being only 5'1", I always question the over the knee boots, but I figured they worked with this outfit.

welcome

Ok, now that we have posted a picture of our cat we can begin.

Christy and I decided to start a blog, because we like clothes. Plain and simple. We certainly can't claim a vast knowledge of fashion or design, but we know what we like. Our favorite part of dressing is coming up with new outfit ideas by mixing new and old pieces, layering, and combining patterns. I know we have each spent hours upon hours standing in front of a mirror trying out different clothing combinations. We've got time on our hands like that.

We each have our own style preferences. One of us likes long skirts and flannel, while the other prefers tight minis and giant hair bows. And yet, we still get along...most of the time. We also both have our own challenges when finding clothes. While Christy wears a size 2-6, I fit more in the range of 18-22. Yeah, no clothes-sharing for us. Sad face. But, size aside, we are both particular about fit and appearance and often have to modify pieces to make them work.

Hopefully this blog will present readers with outfit ideas and give Christy and I something to do. Eh.

baby Merlin

Our baby cat, Merlin. He does not care for fashion except for attacking braided hair or fringe. However, he is adorable/evil.
